Garlic Bread with Olive Oil

This garlic bread has just a few simple ingredients. For the best final product, all you need is a fresh baguette. The recipe comes together so quickly, it'll leave you wondering why you don't make garlic bread with more weeknight dinners.

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400F. Slice baguette or loaf of bread in half lengthwise. Place sliced bread on a sheet pan lined with aluminum foil. Set aside.

In a small bowl mix softened vegan butter with olive oil until homogenous. Add the garlic, basil, oregano, chili flakes and salt and pepper to taste, stirring to combine. Divide this mixture evenly between two pieces of bread and spread evenly to coat the tops of the bread.

Place buttered bread in oven for 10-15 minutes until golden around the edges and bubbling. Let cool slightly and cut into pieces before serving.

1 fresh baguette or bread of your choice

4 tablespoons vegan butter, softened

4 tablespoons olive oil

2 large garlic cloves, minced

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon dried oregano

½  teaspoon chili flakes

Salt and pepper
