An ordinary chicken stars in this film (chick flick?) about the future of meat. While this chicken looks like most others, and also faces a future that includes grilled chicken strips and nuggets, the difference is that he's named Ian. Rarely are chickens with names killed for their meat, and Ian is no different.

That's because Ian was raised by the scientists at JUST, formerly known as Hampton Creek, which is recreating the future of food by creating plant-based proteins and clean meat. The company expects to have its first JUSTMeat product ready for sale by the end of this year.

Watch this video to see people eating Ian while he sits right next them.

So what’s Ian doing now? It’s all good. After the video shoot, he was taken to an animal sanctuary in Northern California where he still lives.
