Lemon Caper Butter Lettuce Salad

1 head butter lettuce
3 tablespoons minced shallots
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons capers, drained and finely chopped
¼ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
¼ cup olive oil
Wash and break up lettuce. Dry completely.
Juice lemons and strain out seeds. Place juice in a bowl and add shallots, mustard, capers, salt, sugar, and olive oil. Whisk together until smooth.
Drizzle over lettuce and serve.
